Yield: 6 (1 cup) servings
| 1 | can | (29 ounce) pinto beans (with liquid) | |

| 1 | green bell pepper, chopped | ||

| 1 | large onion, chopped | ||
|
|
|||
| 1 | can | (15 ounce) tomato sauce | |
|
|
|||
| 8 | Tablespoons | chili powder | |
|
|
|||
| Garnish: | |||
| Shredded cheddar cheese | |||
|
|
|||
Pour beans into large pot. Add bell pepper, onion and tomato sauce. Stir to combine.
Cover and let simmer for a couple of hours. Gradually add chili powder through the cooking process.
Serve hot with shredded cheese.
