Maxine's Quick Recipe for Chili Beans

Mollie Stone's Markets' Original Recipes

Yield: 6 (1 cup) servings

Ingredients

1 can (29 ounce) pinto beans (with liquid)
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
8 Tablespoons chili powder
Garnish:
Shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

Pour beans into large pot. Add bell pepper, onion and tomato sauce. Stir to combine.

Cover and let simmer for a couple of hours. Gradually add chili powder through the cooking process.

Serve hot with shredded cheese.
