Greek Strip Steak and Mushroom Kabobs

Combine garlic, lemon pepper and oregano.

Toss mushrooms and onion with oil and 2 tsp rub. Thread alternately onto six 12- inch skewers; finish with a lemon wedge.

Press remaining rub onto beef steaks. Place steaks on grate over medium heat. Place kabobs around steaks. Grill steaks, uncovered, 15 to 18 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Grill vegetables 6 to 8 minutes or until tender, turning occasionally.

Remove vegetables from skewers; toss with cheese. Carve steaks; season with salt.

To Broil:
Place steaks on rack in broiler pan so surface of beef is 3 to 4- inches from heat. Place kabobs alongside steaks. Broil steak 13 to 17 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning once. Broil vegetables until tender, turning as needed.

“This looks good enough to try, although I think I'd want to grill some zucchini to go with the feta too! I'm a little doubtful about the veggie rub sticking to them, too; maybe it would work better to use a little oil, and squeeze some lemon over the veggies as they grill. I've had slices of elephant garlic that seemed to grill better than onions usually do. This seems like a great recipe to experiment with!”
