| At a time when California schools are facing cutbacks across the board, Mollie Stone's Markets and eScrip announce their continued support of youth education through a new recycling program. Mollie Stone's has placed recycle bins in each of their eight Bay Area locations, collecting cell phones, MP3 players and ink jet cartridges no longer in use.
Mollie Stone's co-founder, David Bennett, strongly believes it is important for a locally owned business to give back to the community. "During these times of budget cuts and over-sized classrooms, we want to do what we can to support local schools. With our eight locations, we are in a position to provide many drop-off spots for our customers to recycle their electronics, enabling them to support local schools. We are passionate about education and look forward to making a difference through our partnership with eScrip."
eScrip Executive Vice President, Joanne Remillard, notes the importance of Mollie Stone's commitment to local schools. "By placing these recycle bins in their stores, Mollie Stone's is demonstrating their ongoing commitment to preserving the environment while simultaneously supporting the education of youth. This is a win/win situation for everyone involved. Now Mollie Stone's customers can drop off these recycle items while doing their every day shopping-how convenient!" |
