In the glass, the color is a dramatic deep pink with a blush of sunset. Intense ripe strawberry, juicy watermelon, and fresh red cherry fruit aromas and flavors are interwoven with apple, pear, and stone fruit. On the palate, the wine is creamy and seductive, with defined structure from the addition of still Pinot Noir at triage. The overall impression is one of bold vibrancy and impact from start to finish. The well-developed fruit and structure of this wine make it a perfect partner with intensely flavored dishes from Asia and Latin America as well as more traditional Mediterranean and continental fare including seafood,shellfish, duck and lamb.
 Hawk Crest Chardonnay 2007
Made from 100% Chardonnay. Here is a wine with excellent length, pleasant texture, and a delightful array of flavor notes. In the nose, savor aromas of pineapple, vanilla, and caramel-covered apple. In the mouth, there's a hint of soft fruit-melon, peach-followed by an  array of flavors (ginger, jasmine, butterscotch) that are borne along by the delicate acidity, with a fillip of oak on the finish. It will happily partner fettuccini with chanterelles and grilled scallops or chicken cutlets with lemon and capers.
Menage a Trois
Even if red wine is not your speed, give our Menage a Trois Red a try. This wine exposes the fresh, ripe, jam-like fruit that is the calling card of California wine. Three saucy grapes make up the blend. Zinfandel adds a juicy character, Merlot mellows and Cabernet adds backbone. Forward, spicy and soft, this delicious dalliance makes the perfect trio.
